Cybersecurity stocks surged on Monday as fresh warnings from leading AI executives put AI-driven cyberattack risks and demand for stronger security tools back in focus. CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc. (CRWD) rose more than 10%, Palo Alto Networks, Inc. (PANW) gained over 7%, and Fortinet, Inc. (FTNT) climbed more than 5%.

The rally followed a sharp dip in AI stocks Monday after stark warnings from OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Anthropic CEO Dario Amidei. Over the weekend, the growth of AI became a heavy debate, with US President Donald Trump even denouncing calls to slow AI growth.

CrowdStrike (CRWD) stock climbed 12% to $232.08 in midday trading, while Zscaler (ZS) rose 12% to $183.97 and Palo Alto Networks (PANW) jumped 11% to $366.40. Over the past six months, CrowdStrike‘s stock has risen a massive 94.8%, partly thanks to its solid quarterly results.

Wall Street analysts project CrowdStrike‘s revenue will rise 23.2% over the next 12 months, close to its 36.5% annualized growth rate over the past five years. The next scheduled catalyst is its Q3 FY27 report, with guidance for revenue between $1.523 billion and $1.529 billion.

That report can show whether the AI safety narrative is translating into net new annual recurring revenue alongside the record $332.8 million CrowdStrike posted in Q2 FY27. In that quarter, total revenue grew 25.8% year over year to $1.47 billion.
